Republic Municipal Court

This is genuinely the most unorganized court system to exist. My fiance and I got here 30 minutes before court at 9am we didn't even get back with a judge for almost two hours. They forgot to file the paperwork. I don't know what they are doing here but it's wrong and misleading. If I have court at a specific time I expect to be handled in a timely manner and they aren't even trying.

Court is court. No one wants to have to deal with it but when you have to, especially during the COVID-19 epidemic, it sure is nice to have an employee as sweet, kind, patient and helpful as Penny. I’ve had to call in twice and both times, she got me the information I needed and made me feel as if she was truly happy to help me, and I believe she was. So, thank you Ms. Penny for being there to take my call during all of this, and for being such a calm, reassuring voice on the other end. Republic courts are very lucky to have her!

Calling a courthouse during normal business hours has never been more inconvenient. They don't want to talk to you. They do NOT answer the phone. If you call on Tuesday or Wednesday after 2:30 they'll be in court so they won't answer. Any other business day at any time of the day, they have no excuse to not answer the phone.

I try to pay a seat belt ticket that was issued to me. It has been longer than the 10 days recommended and still not in the system!! This is ran like a joke! Who is the prosecutor who is supposed to be filing these!! I don't want to have to take a day off of work to got to court for a $10.00 ticket!! Republic, get it together!!!!!!

How long does it take to file a speeding ticket? I got my ticket on Oct 30th and now it's Nov 22nd and I go in to pay it and get told the prosecutor hasn't filed it. Therefore they tell me I can't pay it. Oh but you can call them. I'm a busy guy with two jobs, school, and starting a business. The one time I can come in and take care of it I CAN NOT PAY IT. I'M PISSED.
