Lovely Doctor, very reasonable and kind. Listens well and takes your pain/worries seriously. Very happy and cannot fault her!nUnfortunately though the reception staff could be more friendly, especially considering people seeing a neurologist are often in quite a lot of pain and are vulnerable. Some may have issues understanding what is being said to them/asked of them. I know some days with my severe migraines, I struggle a lot. I understand they may be stressed - especially during Covid - but a little smile and kind tone, clear communication and care goes a long way. I feel guilty saying that because I understand this year has been very hard for everyone, but I must be honest!

I have had great care with Dr. Shah. Having had a brain tumor removed and recovering from terrible migraines. She has done everything in her power to help me get through this.

Not the most pleasant bedside manner in the world but gives you the news straight. Has helped my neuropathy in my leg after a severe blood clot. The meds don’t really help that much... until I don’t take them. Then the pins and needles come back with a vengeance. I think she has helped me as much as I can be helped. I would give her 4 stars. I love the tall black nurse that gives me b-12 shots, she is super friendly and gets you in and out quickly. 5 stars. The two front office ladies that I see often, shorter black woman and a white woman are also very good at getting me in and out. 4 stars. I don’t care as much for the one nurse white lady who makes you jump through hoops and sign a host of documentation for a B-12 shot. She’s nice and well intentioned but comes off as condescending and talking down to you. 3 stars. All in all I would recommend this place for neuropathy unless you want someone who is one of those touchy feely doctors who will blow sunshine and rainbows your way.

After reading the reviews I was scared to see Dr. Shah. So glad I didn't let that keep me away. My experience was lovely. The front desk got me in ASAP, they were very helpful. The nurses were kind and caring. Dr. Shah was very professional. The first visit I needed an MRI to see what was going on. My second visit she explained what was going on and what course of action to take. She thoroughly explained everything, was very gentle, and personable. She and her staff really made me feel that they cared about my well being, and genuinely wanted to help me.

I left a review for this doctor 4 months ago after my first visit but things have changed drastically. Doctor lies and forces you into tests you don't need. Then she has the nerve to keep having you come back saying she needs to keep seeing you in order for you to get approved for an MRI. I will not go back and see her and I will be avoiding all MedStar doctors from this point on while I live here. I would give this doctor negative stars if it was possible.
