Had a friend who went to him since they were a child. Friend grew up decided to transition. Doctor Smith then told my friend he was uncomfortable treating them due to the decision to transition.

Dr. Smith is simply put...AMAZING! He listens with an open mind, he's understanding to all issues, he explains diagnosis in layman terms, takes as much time as you need never ever rushes. His great bedside manner and kindness are not easily found in these rushing times. I've suggested my own family and friends to him and they too are very happy with him.

I started seeing Dr. Smith approximately 15 years ago give or take a few years. At the time I was living in Lexington Park which is about 30 minutes from his office in Waldorf. His understanding of my issues medically and personally were above expectations. Over the years I moved around the state and eventually out of state, and now I've settled in Virginia about 2 hours away from Dr. Smiths office and I will gladly continue to make the 2 hour drive in to see him whenever I have need for medical assistance. I highly recommend him for just about anything.

Doctor Smith is a very talented and welcoming MD. Professional and available. Can't say the same for Medstar. But I can certainly recommend his practice. I was under his care for over 3 years.
