Gilbert Run Park

Beautiful scenery!!! Entrance parking lot is right on the water, which is filled with all kinds of aquatic life. Sturdy playgrounds, gazebos to rent, and plenty of seats to rest on and enjoy the view. The bridge crossing the water gives an even more intimate view of the aquatic residents. Park is equipped with kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats for rent to enjoy your the river or do some fishing. Also, there were volleyball nets set up for use where we were. Lovely place!!!!

Beautiful park. Fishing was slow (not surprised since it's winter), but looking forward to spring when they restock the lake. Great play places for kids, and great hiking around the lake for exercise or just to take a stroll. The water, and park in general, seemed well maintained and clean.

One of my favorite places for a nice quiet walk through the woods. Plenty to see and do. Family friendly with lots of playgrounds. Plus kayaking on the lake. Great park overall.

Weather was beautiful. Park is nice wasn't overly crowded so the kids could enjoy the playground. We did some fishing and had a picnic. Great outdoor activity during covid

The park has a variety of activities. The lake has a walking path around it if you like to walk. In season there are boat rentals to paddle, canoe or fish. There are a number of pavilions for a picnic as well as several small playgrounds. There are entrance fees in season and the park closes at dark. It is a popular place so you will have a lot of company.
