The food and atmosphere was excellent. Would advise a nice little date night if you have some cash burning a hole in your pocket. Steak was cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend the Oxtail French Onion Soup.

Walked in at 815p, closes at nine per posted hours. Told by the host that they've just closed. After leaving, called to check the hours and the manager says they are open. And no, we weren't dressed like we were homeless. Quite odd. Tope-la was welcoming as always. Manager, send me a message if you like to discuss.

New management? We’ve been to Jacmel many times—it’s one of our favorites.nnLovely Easter brunch—our server was pretty, charming and efficient. The food was delicious and creative as usual. I would have given it 5-stars, except....nnThe 4 of us arrived within 5 minutes of our 11:00 reservation..half of our party 5 mins early, the other half 5 mins late. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, more drinks, entrees, dessert and coffee/after dinner drinks. At this point the patio appeared to be full, but our section of the restaurant only 2/3 or so? When our dessert was served around 1:00..we were advised (very politely and apologetically by our server) that management needed the table because there was a large party behind us!nnQuite frankly we were shocked! In our many years of frequent dining out, the only place this has ever occurred is Disney—where at least they advise up front that your reservation is for an hour and a half. We have never had this experience at an establishment the caliber of Jacmel. Very disappointing.

This is the place to go to feel like you're one of the elite without the exorbitant prices. The appetizers, main courses, and desserts are all scrumptious. This was our first visit, but we went with friends that have been numerous times. The architecture of the main dining area next to the outdoor seating area is enough to keep you enthralled with the various doors that enclose the room but they also have photos and paintings throughout.nnThe only reason for four stars instead of five is that, in this time of covid, only a select few of the staff were wearing masks properly. Mostly they were worn incorrectly and some not at all.
