For a place that's named for it's gumbo it's very underwhelming. The seafood pasta wasn't a good as I thought it would be also.

The food was absolutely amazing!! Service was great. Servers were polite and very attentive. I enjoyed my dining experience. I highly recommend the Gumbo Pot for anyone who loves seafood. The fried green tomatoes are to die for.

Service was horrible. Server came up to take our order and took 2 out of 3 people’s order and then we had to glad another server just to get the last order in. We’re told it would take about 20/25 minutes for the charbroiled oysters (which was perfectly fine and were ordered way after the first 2 orders) and they ended up coming out before everything else and were cold. Had to ask servers to get the finished dirty dishes off our table and for refills. Honestly we felt more like we were an issue than a paying customer. First and last experience for us.

This was my second time ordering from this restaurant, since I've been working temporarily in Vicksburg and I ordered the exact same thing as before, the crab leg and shrimp special. Aside of sitting at the bar and no one ever being available to take my drink order while I waited on my to go order, I found that the seasoning I requested when ordering was missing once I got back to my hotel room. As I proceeded to eat my order, I noticed that my crab legs looked weird. They have black spots all over them and parasite eggs. I am thankful that I pay attention to my food before eating it because I truly could've gotten sick if I would've eaten them. I definitely will wait till I get back home to order my seafood from here on out.

I loved this cute little restaurant! Came here with my dad because I had never had Cajun or gumbo before! Visiting Vicksburg from Dallas, and while here, I looked for a place that served gumbo, and this one came up! So we checked it out, and I enjoyed my meal very much! ud83dude0b
