The trails were well maintained and the scenery was great. My only complaint is that the trail was super muddy because it had rained recently. There were even spots that were pretty large puddles. We will definitely go back, but we'll bring rain boots just in case.

Primitive hiking trail is an understatement! The 1.2 mile loop trail is marked with blazers that are quite necessary in some areas. Parking area and a picnic bench are well maintained for a place that's so secluded. Nice to feel like we are actually going out into nature even though we are in Baton Rouge, it's definitely a hidden gem! Can't wait to see the future improvements and trails!
