Flood Family Medical Center

Dr. Flood is the best!!! I wasn't prepared for the long wait times to see her but it is WORTH it. She is thorough, takes her time and LISTENS. I've read some of the other reviews and although there was a period where her office staff was not the best, I can tell you it has improved 100%!! I will see Dr. Flood for as long as she is in practice. I also have several friends and co-workers who see her and feel the same way!

Dr Flood is absolutely amazing. I have been her patient for more than 10 years. She listens and responds to my needs. She is extremely knowledgeable with metabolic disorders. The staff is amazing and helpful. The office is clean.

Was a great place until I went out of town for a travel assignment. Have had to abruptly stop a high dose of controlled medication due to their refusal to refill a medication forcing me to find a new pcp in a city during the pandemic to try and refill. Office manager was rude and upon me trying to call to get records sent to the new location my phone number has been hung up on twice. When I called using my boyfriend's phone the phone rang once and they answered. Ready to be done with this place and when I get back to Louisiana I will be transferring care elsewhere.

I am so dissatisfied with the clinic now. I’ve been a longtime patient, I saw Dr. Flood at another office where she worked before she left to open up this family practice. I was thrilled to see her and Kady Leto at the new Prairieville office. Dr. Flood was a very good doctor to me, and I loved Kady Leto a NP who has left the practice.(wish I knew where she was!) I have literally NOT been able to get an appointment to actually see Dr. Flood in over 2 years now, and you can only book an appointment to see an NP. You can ask for one with Dr. Flood, but they will laugh and tell you that you can see her in about 8 months, MAYBE. Also, if you do get to book an appointment, know that it’ll likely be rescheduled because it’s happened to me many times. With the NP’s sometimes too. Sometimes they will even call you and ask if you can maybe come in at an earlier time on the day of the appointment because truth be known, they all want to get out and go home earlier. NO, I DONT WANT TO DO THAT! I have plans too!nOk, so because the doctor never sees me, I wonder if the meds I am on are still the right ones, because the NP’s sort of look everything over and say, I don’t see any issue. So it all stays the same. Kady didn’t though, that’s why I liked her. I’ve had several others who have also left the practice since then. I don’t like the revolving door. It’s probably because the office manager is so rude, she sure is! Also, often times they are very inflexible at the front desk and often quite rude to me as well. Not just with me, I’ve heard it from others I know, some who have stopped going there. I used to refer friends to this office all of the time. Not anymore. I can’t even get to see the doctor, they are WAY OVERBOOKED. Also you will WAIT AND WAIT, to see anyone. God forbid that you are actually very ill, they won’t be able to see you until at least next week. I wouldn’t recommend. It’s really a shame though. She’s IS a nice lady, but she REALLY needs a few more actual doctors in there, and a few more great NP’s. They would stay if she had better and nicer office staff. She needs to change something happening there to keep people who ARE really good. It’s hurting her image and will impact her business. Really makes Dr. Flood look like she’s only out to make money, and push the pills that she makes commission on. Doesn’t make it seem at all like she cares anymore about actually helping people or that she cares about her patients.

I have been with Dr. Flood years before she opened up this current clinic. I always feel I get so much important information about whatever I discuss with her. She is so knowledgeable and so eager to help!! Keep it up!!
