Tennessee Aquarium

This aquarium is truly wonderful. There are two sections, rivers (fresh water) and ocean (salt water). I thought I would like the ocean half much more but I actually really loved the rivers. So many amazing animals, especially turtles!! ud83dudc22 they do so much to help conserve and breed endangered species! It’s so amazing to see all the new baby turtles. The exhibits are beautiful and informative. Can’t wait to go back. The ocean side is wonderful too with huge tanks with sharks and a sea turtle. Also a tank where you can pet small sharks and rays! Could have spent all day here

We bought a family pass and added guest passes for my parents. The staff was very friendly. You do have to wear a mask (anyone ages 4 and up) throughout the entire experience which is no fun at all, but I do understand why they are putting this precaution into place. The butterfly exhibit is closed and the sturgeon touch tank is closed, but the stingray touch tank is still open which we were so grateful for because that is one of our favorite exhibits! They are making visitors purchase time slot tickets to help with social distancing, but membership holders have no wait time in line. The only nice thing about the social distancing precautions is that it is not near as busy inside so you can actually enjoy it and not have to fight for time at the tanks. We love going and will be visiting many times throughout the next year thanks to our membership (which is tax deductible by the way)! I highly recommend going to the aquarium for a visit and if you have a bug family the membership is well worth it. If you just are a couple or an individual who takes a friend and want to visit more than once in a year then the individual plus one membership is very cost effective! Check it out if you haven't. You definitely won't regret purchasing a membership if you go more than once a year.

Really enjoyed this aquarium. It was nice to be able to touch the rays in the touch tank. I took off one star because even though the tickets are “timed” nothing about it felt that way. There were too many people to easily stay 6 feet a part and many ADULTS were walking around with masks pulled down their faces or with their noses sticking out.

Everyone had masks on ,they had hand sanitizer available throughout the Aquarium.

This aquarium was amazing! We loved the fresh water side!! There was so much to see. On the ocean side, my children really enjoyed petting the rays and sharks! The man that was talking over the speaker answered all of the little ones' questions, and was very friendly. It is definitely a must-see aquarium.
