Easily accessible, wheelchair and handicap friendly. Very nice and clean restrooms. I was so blessed with my experience at the James A. Smith Planetarium. We watched their Christmas video, scripture was read pointing to the creation of the universe of stars and planets, and the birth of Jesus Christ, the reason that we celebrate CHRISTmas. Praise the Lord in the most high.

John, our host/guide, was very knowledgeable and explained things in our solar system in such a way that even children in our group understood what he was trying to explain. The experience is something I would very much enjoy seeing again. Before attending this planetarium, I didn't know how to find visible planets with the naked eye but now I do. This is worth your time to visit.

Amazing to have a planetarium is such a small place as Walker County! It has been a fixture here for many years. I remember visiting when I was much younger and I still enjoy it.

A diamond in the rough!! Neat planetarium/science center in Walker County, GA. Open for groups of any kind. The curator of this planetarium is an astronomer who LOVES to talk and teach science. As a geology major I REALLY appreciate their rock, mineral, gemstone and fossil collection. GO CHECK IT OUT!

Loved this place. If you want to learn about the planets in detail and learn about the telescopes history I highly recommend this place. Great staff!
