Wellstar Paulding Hospital

I was sent here by an incompetent urgent care down the road who didn't want to do their job. It was urgent, but not an emergency. I was still in and out within 1 hour. The PA came in my room before the nurse and within 3 minutes of me sitting down on the bed!! He was very thorough and made sure I had all my ailments addressed. He got a game plan together that we both agreed on. The nurse came in shortly after with meds and then I was discharged!. It was a super quick process that the urgent care could have easily handled. Really appreciate Wellstar Paulding and their staff!! They also did not make me feel bad for coming in for something that I knew urgent care could have seen me for but wouldn't, even though I kept apologizing!

I am totally dazed and confused. I am a type 1 diabetic and I suffer with Gastroparesis. I have been hospitalized in the past for this condition and I have came to Wellstar Paulding for treatment. I pass 4 to 5 other hospitals on my way to Wellstar Paulding because in the past they have always gave me A1 treatment and made sure I was 100% before I was released in the past. I was admitted on 4.1.21 and released on 4.3.21, but I was still throwing up and dehydrated as I am currently while writing this review. The medications they gave me are not working as they are actually making it worse. I have lost 21lbs since 4.1.21. They where extremely busy and seemed as if they only wanted to get patients in and out fast. My feelings are hurt because I have been singing Wellstar Paulding praises since last May when they treated me for Gastroparesis. If my condition worsens I will have to find another ER to take care of me and my illness.

This hospital is the biggest waste of time I have ever had the misfortune of enduring. I threw out my back so badly I cannot walk or stand up straight. They did no x-rays or CT scan or anything but physically look at it. They sent me home with the advice to see an orthopedic doctor and put ice and heat on it. I literally cannot move and have been crying in pain since 9am. I wasted 4 hours of my life here. Please go to a different hospital unless you're dying and cannot make it anywhere else. They gave me no help whatsoever. It took an hour for just a nurse to come see me and get my blood pressure for the first time. When I got in my room, they let me sit there for AN HOUR while I could here then talking shit about other nurse's and just bullshitting at their station while I'm hearing nurse's buzzers going off for 10-20 minutes straight with these poor people receiving no help at all. Don't go here. Genuinely, seriously. Do not go to this hospital. They don't care about you at all.nEDIT:nI wanted to add an update for this. I went and got x-rays done later that day from a chiropractor and was told that I have a degenerated disc and a cracked vertebrae. Went to see an orthopedic doctor shortly after and am finally getting help to be able to move again. These doctors were so painfully worthless, I missed 5 days of work because they wouldn't help me, or believe me. I had a CRACKED VERTEBRAE and they didn't believe the pain I was in. I hope no one experiences what I went through with this hospital, and I pray I NEVER have to go back here.

If I could give no stars I would!nThis is by far THE WORST HOSPITAL!!!nPlease if you have an emergency try a different Wellstar! If I wasn’t taking this into a LEGAL MATTER. I would have much more to say! Stay far away from this hospital! R.I.P to my son!

I have had several experiences at Paulding WellStar over the last six years and each time the staff, nurses, and doctors have been kind, courteous, and provided the best care possible. My most recent experience was last week which concluded with the passing of my grandmother. Paulding WellStar staff was loving and understanding during this time, giving and allowing all the visitation they could while following policy. Even this spring with an ER visit for my toddler the staff was gracious and patient. I'm very grateful to them and proud to have them close by when needed. I hope they continue to do great work and expand their services for the good of our community.
