Pam the Plumber

I worked with Pam the Plumber to fix a broken pipe under my house. Pam shuffled schedules around to squeeze us in so we we'd have working sinks/dishwasher/laundry again (2 kids under 5... that's no joke), and was also really responsive and helpful with insurance. We’ve worked with Pam’s team for years and have always had a great experience.

Terrible! My hot water heater stopped working. I asked a neighbor for a referral and he said to call Pam. I did and her crew came out that day. They suggested replacing the thermalcouple instead of the 12+ yo water heater. I said I didn't mind doing that if it was the right thing to do. Nope, they said it would fine. Well, it wasn't. 24 hours later and I had no hot water again. I called and left a message on Sunday, not expecting a return call until Monday. No call on Monday so I left another message. I tried again on Tuesday. I never got a return call. Very very disappointing.

We had a weekend emergency and Pam the Plumber far exceeded my expectations!nnOur old hot water heater burst Sat night and flooded our finished basement. After wet vacuuming all night, I called Pam Sunday morning...half expecting a call back monday...but she answered and helped me through the entire process.nn...she also gave me great price! I know because I had been researching them for a while...just wish I hadn't waited.nnFirst, safety check... She reminded me to turn off the tank and the gas line (obvious when you think about it, but not something you always think about in the middle of the night while standing in water)nnSecond, she called a water remediation company for me (they arrived in less than 1 hour). She explained the insurance claim process, but when I told her I probably wouldn't make a claim (unless it's really expensive) she notified them so that they would give us the self-pay rate.nnThird, she sent in one of her plumbers (arrived in about an 45 min) to disconnect the tank and seal the line because even though the tank was empty, water keep dripping in from the pipes through out the rest of the house (cold water bleeds into the hot water pipes through the shower faucets when there is no pressure).nnMonday morning, when the supply house opened, they picked up our new tank and we had hot water that evening!nnI can't stress enough how nice it was to not have to spend all morning looking for a plumber who will answer the phone on the weekend and send someone right away. Plus I didn't have to waste time reading reviews on water remediation companies, calling for quotes, etc...I could focus on moving furniture, etc.nnOn top of all of that, she is very pleasant to work with and she really knows her stuff (she'll talk you through the evolution of a particular brand of tank if you ask)...and she really cares about doing the right thing (as you can see above).nnStop looking... You've found your plumber!

Made an appointment with Pam called her the day of the appointment and she stated she lost my number and can’t make it. This is the second time I tried to use her and it was not a good experience.

Very informative , answered questions I had regarding my plumbing challenge.
