Anchor Pharmacy

I was super excited about moving to this pharmacy to use their delivery services. Unfortunately I have had nothing but issues with them and have transferred my medication back to my local CVS.nnI use a brand only epilepsy medication that is covered by my insurance but needs a pre-authorization annually. Since I'm on the branded, they do not keep my meds in stock must be special ordered. For the 2nd time, they attempted to fill my prescription with generic, even though the doctor's order specifically states branded only. The last refill the forgot to request the special order so, I was at my last day before needing my pills. They never called me to let me know there were any issues. The first delivery attempt was late by a day. Really there's no excuse for that, especially with a serious illness medication. I was currently waiting on a refill this week and surprise, they've dropped the ball again. I have 5 days left of my medication and they did not get the pre-authorization in place for 2021 even though it was authorized by my insurance in December 2020, they did not place the special order for the medication to be in stock (it takes there delivery at least 3 days) and I received no phone call until yesterday to begin their process. Their pharmacy hours are very limited (M-F 9-5) and you can never get someone on the phone. I've left messages that never get returned and when someone finally calls you can't get them back on the phone if you missed their call. It's a viscous cycle.nnI made the decision to contact CVS today just to be safe that there were no issues with the transfer. I'm so glad I called, they never indicated on the transfer that my prescription was a brand only fulfillment. Had I not called to confirm that they had receipt of the transfer, they would not have had the medication I needed in time for my refill. Again, with a life or death medication, this should never be an issue to this degree.nnI've used Anchor for about 6 months and the same issues have occurred. I can't express enough that this is not the place to go to for a serious illness medication. They don't care about you as a customer or as a health care provider. Definitely take your prescriptions elsewhere, they are just not worth the trouble.

If you blink, you'll miss it. Access to the pharmacy is difficult because it's blocked off by a median, so if you're coming from the wrong way, you'll have to hit a U and come back to it. Parking is scarce in front of the store. And from what I saw briefly, there doesn't look to be access to a back lot. But I'm not sure. Inside the pharmacy is just as small. As soon as you walk in there is a long counter where you will be attended to. Everything behind the counter doesn't look like a pharmacy, but more like a call center or business office. The staff is pretty friendly and they get you in and out quickly.

I thought the days of pharmacies providing great, personal, personable service was gone - BOY was I wrong! I had a Rx of mine sent to Anchor Pharmacy by my doctor and Anchor Pharmacy called me to update me in detail the status of my Rx, everything they were doing to contact my insurance to try and get it covered, as well as offering a discount in the end to help make it more affordable on my end and ease the cost! Thank you Anchor pharmacy for your incredible customer service and help. Courtney is amazing and was such a light to talk to- I WILL be returning to get more prescriptions filled : )

Best pharmacy I have ever dealt with. And they DELIVER!

really shoddy pharmacy, there's a million better options for whatever you need. whether it's customer service, pricing or atmosphere... this place genuinely sucks. take your money elsewhere!
