I love living in Hampton over all but the power goes out frequently and you can't get info after hours to find out why not thrilled with the mayor also right in the middle of the pandemic they were cutting power off if not paid on time other than that it's a clean town with good people every one is friendly. It still has a small town feel

Electricity is controlled by the City of Hampton who makes it mandatory that their bill be paid by the 4th or they turn your lights off. I don’t mind paying my bill on time each month but the electricity goes off about every 2 weeks and stays off for several hours or sometimes several days. I’ve even left a tearful voicemail for the mayor to ask that the trees surrounding their antiquated power supply be trimmed or cut down altogether but I never received a return courtesy cal!. Lights are out right now. They’re nearly always out. Sorry for the long rant but we’re simply miserable. If you are thinking about moving to the City of Hampton...DON’T!!! We’re going to have to move during this pandemic to solve the numerous problems!!!

Pitiful and unprofessional. They’ll play with your bill and threaten to turn your power off and then the people in there are so rude. Regret moving here and having to deal with this. I’ve never dealt with more raggedy bunch of people and they’re so close to getting some choice words. You don’t treat people like this; especially during a global pandemic
