Staff is super friendly and will take the time to get to know you. A true Southern Pharmacy that cares!
The pharmacist was super helpful and fulfilled my daughters RX right before closing time! He was nice and friendly even though it was pushing 6:00 and a storm was on the way! So thankful!
On April 5th 2020, I began excruciating pain in my lower left side pelvic floor. On April 7th My PCM discovered I had a 10.8cm by 10cm by 6.3cm Ovarian cyst. At which time he referred me to my OBGYN and prescribed me 15, 5/325 Percocet q6h, 2.5 days worth of pain medication. On April 9th my OB called and informed me she was on vacation and could not see me until April 12th. Therefore, my PCM prescribed me 30 more Percocet, 5 days worth. That evening my OB called and asked me to go to the ER and get a CT to make sure my cyst had not ruptured or ovary twisted. The ER prescribed me medication Toradol which I cannot take which I did not fill and I also told them I did not need. On April 12th my OBGYN seen me and referred me to a OB Oncologist. At that time she prescribed me 30 more Percocet 5/325 to get me to the 22nd when the Oncologist could see me. On the 22nd of April the Oncologist seen me and wrote me another prescription for Percocet 5/325 to get me through until surgery on April 28th. On April 29th when released from the hospital the Oncologist prescribed me 30-10/325 Percocet because the 5/325 Percocet was not helping my pain at the hospital at all. He informed me if the 10/325 did not work go back to my PCM and have him manage my pain which I did. My PCM prescribed me 2mg Dilaudid. The pharmacist at Gordons/Southern Hometown pharmacy in Pembroke refused to fill my script. She finally had my husband come back to our house and bring her my prescription of Percocet even though he told her we were discontinuing that medication. When he returned with that prescription she told him she found out it was illegal for her to confiscate the old prescription however, she counted my pills as if I was lying. She stated she was going to reluctantly fill my prescription. The following day this pharmacist red flagged me in the state system for Doctor hopping and drug seeking. I have never been on pain medication like this with the exception of my whipple in September 2018. I am a established patient at this pharmacy. My Doctors are now fighting with the state because they have been told they must drop me as a patient. I am 6 days post op and cant get any pain medication. I am in excruciating pain not just due to my surgery but because the amount of scar tissue the doctor had to go through because of a surgery I had two years ago where half of my pancreas was remove and I became septic due to pancreatic fluid leaking and forming a abscess in my abdomen. Please be warned of this pharmacy because even though I had a emergency situation where I was on medication the last month this pharmacy took it upon themselves to rather than find out what was going on with me, they just jumped to the conclusion that all of a sudden I was a drug head. PLEASE BE AWARE BEFORE YOU USE THIS UNPROFESSIONAL, COMPASSIONLESS pharmacy.nnI was referred out to two different doctors/specialist treated and released back to my Primary Care Manager. I was not hopping doctors and each doctor knew what the last dr had treated me with which is why all continued the same medication. I was not given more medication than should have been allotted for the month and I was only given 2-5 days of medication at a time and each was filled only 24hrs prior to the last prescription running out with the exception of the medication change on Thursday.
