I enjoy coming to this campus it is a little out the way but a small campus. It is very clean and a great place to study.
Small campus but it has great instructors.
I love this place but I am very concerned about the security there and how they allow anyone to go in or out and no checks ID or anything.
Admission was messy. I had my high school mail my transcript to them since they weren’t doing the online transfer at the time. I called to check if they received it but they kept saying no. It was getting close to the deadline when a woman told me my transcript has been there all along but they somehow missed it. The teachers are a hit or miss. Some are hands on and know what they are teaching. Some others mainly depend on the online labs to teach you everything. I still can’t forget the blank expression on my old teacher’s face when I asked him to verify the information about the assignment. I suggest asking your classmates instead. Scheduling was a problem for me. The majority of the classes I had to take were scheduled on the same dates and time. It caused my program to last longer than expected. I couldn't take it anymore and took the opportunity to transfer to a different college when my family moved.
It's a nice, new campus. The welding lab is great, as are the instructors. Barrow country campus staff is great. The financial aid department (Oakwood) is unprofessional and rude on the many experiences I've had with them. Other students have told me they experienced the same thing. I talked to another student going to another campus and he wasn't even told about and of the grants available. I've been to another college and their financial aid department, all admin, was helpful, pleasant and organized. If it wasn't for Mr Rieger I would have went somewhere else. I would have given five stars for the welding department and the Borrow county staff. Note: according to federal information the graduation and placement numbers are incorrect by a long shot.
