I just had a great experience with Russell from Sunshine Restoration. I am selling my house (Which I built 4 years ago - almost to the day). I have been fortunate to put some nice upgrade in the home, including some wood/laminate all over my main level. However, the starter carpet remaining in the bedrooms has taken nothing less than an absolute beating from myself and my children and our massive hairy Newfoundland. I was really concerned that I would need to replace it to sell or give the buyer a carpet allowance, but Russell did a great job. All the times I have had my carpet cleaned, I have gotten the deals they advertise on your doornobs. I have never seen such attention to detail. Russell actually apologized for his meticulous nature. Something that I don't have (which is obvious given that my carpet was in the state it was in ;). He was professional, sweet, and kind, and basically OCD- but not in a condescending way -- which I think is what you want more than anything in someone who you invite into your home to clean. There was attention to the edge of the rooms, he moved furniture, he measured the rooms, so it wasn't done by room but by sq footage, but by measurements. This was so nice in regard to my hallway and stairs, and just seemed fair to both parties and less arbitrary all the way around. In the end? When I have paid others, I have only wished I would have gotten a rental at walmart, and put in some elbow grease and gotten a midway job for a lot less. With this guy, I paid $200 for almost perfect carpets (seriously, you should have seen them before). He probably saved me like $800. I am very, very happy, and I feel spoiled. He has a customer for life. I wonder why I haven't done it before.
