As the 2015-2016 Student Government President, this isn't only for the new students but also for the parents. This is the best school for new opportunities, and for those who don't know what to do after high school. The teachers work really hard to help the student, it gives them a clear vision of where to go in life. With all the help you get its impossible to fail. But most important its just a fun school with all the activities, prep rally's, dances, games, and all the staff that participate to make the students laugh. I tip my hat to the one who is in charge of all of that being possible, Mr.Tierney, the best principal any one can have. He makes the school a safe learning environment yet enjoyable and fun. BEST HIGH SCHOOL IN THE WORLD

My son goes here. It has its typical fights just like any other school. The guidance department is terrible!!!!! I have been trying to get someone on the phone for months. With my work schedule i am not able to go down there and no one will call me back. When i call i get passed around from extension to extension because no one knows what the other is doing. Trying to find out resourses so my son does not drop out of school and they 10000% do not care! A few teachers have stepped up and i am so thankful for them. Teaching is not easy and i know the pay sucks but if you don't genuinely care about these kids then you need to find a new job!

i went to this school for 4 years straight , i loved it my 3 years and loved the teachers and staff they were all great to me but the worst year was my senior year. We had a new principal and we didn’t have the expectation that a senior should experience their senior year, we had no pep rally , senior week , a senior prank.. no senior activity at all! prom sucked , we couldn’t listen to the music we wanted to hear we listened to music that a elementary school would hear. also gradbash was a waste of my money; at gradbash john i was so stricken about having the correct dress code! i went home and changed because i was wearing leggings but once we got the universal studios, ALL schools including forest hill were wearing their own dress code! even the girls were wearing the same leggings as me! i couldn’t even take my little backpack because it was not allowed. after all people at universal studios did not care. my senior year was stressful for me , it was very harsh for me. but thanks john i for the great amazing 3 years

I had a great Highschool experience at John I. Leonard, if you want a great experience you have to be involved. Stay out of drama, join clubs, mind your business, get more A’s and B’s, and don’t worry so much about making friends because a lot of times these friends are not really friends. I stayed out of trouble freshman year and got to go to Prom, Grad-bash and everything else. Just be good because you only experience this once! & then you enter the real world. To all the parents, Fights happen just like any other school. Teach your kids to stop letting people trigger them and stay on top of everything and actually be involved and ask how their day was instead of waiting last minute. Great school. Mr. Marcelon, Mr. Kay and Ms. Faulhaber made an impact. Shout out to Chorus as well! I was in it for 4 years straight and loved every part of it. #Classof2015 ud83cudf93
