Amazing experience, the General Manager makes you feel like you’re a celebrity walking through the door. Food is amazing, staff is amazing, we will be back atleast twice a week. If you want top quality 5 star experience come here!!!!!!! We love it!!!!
Very cozy chic interior. I felt like I was drinking in the living room of my mansion in the Hills of Beverley with a bunch of friendly strangers. Chill but fun vibe. Christian the bartender was excellent and really funny!
Would be OK if not for the comically uppity staff. Met friends there for drinks and host gleaned at us like we like we just fell off a turnip truck. Not expecting special treatment-just standard service industry politeness. Service was not great either-mixed up order but no big deal my complaint is with the attitude-which became a running joke throughout the evening. Apparently you need to lease a purple Lamborghini to get any respect in Palm Beach these days. The most bizarro part of all of this is they literally have a picture of some of my relatives on the wall which I might respectfully ask they take down if I ever go back (which I’m not planning on)...
Looked forward to visiting Le Bar, yesterday may not have been the best day for a visit. Chose a high top for 4 about 4:30. Service was slow to non-existent. When the happy hour menu was presented I asked for a glass of Chote du Rhone. A few minutes later the server returned and asked “what wine did you select?” I was surprised the wine was served in a rudimentary short and small wine glass. I took a sip and wine dripped from the base of the glass onto the table no attention was paid when the glass was poured. I had to ask for a napkin since none was placed under the glass when served. A friend joined me; it took some time for a server to recognize someone else joined the table. We asked for a menu, which was presented, 15 minutes went by prior to being able to place an order. Our server had gone on an errand across the street. I flagged down another server to ask if we could place an order. When our order walked past our table, I said I believe that is ours, presented by a third server; I get when the food is up whoever is free serves it. At a high-end wine bar and restaurant, I was surprised the food was almost about to be “auctioned off” I’m sure the use of table numbers is implemented for food orders, I would think the servers would be familiar with those numbers, being able to deliver the correct food to the correct table and not wander the tables. In between the order being placed and served one would think the server would bring silver ware and plates to the table. Didn’t happen, I had to ask for both. We each ordered a second glass of wine. Our bill was presented, we included a 20% + tip. The manager completed the transaction. As we were finishing our wine and still talking the manager came to our table and said “ I HAVE A RESERVATION WAITING FOR THIS TABLE” period….nothing else, as much as to say , you paid your bill, leave, I need this table. A manager who would like to see repeat business MAY have presented that information differently, “so glad you are enjoying yourselves, I usually would not ask, except we have a private party in side and I do have a party waiting for an outside table, thank you for understanding.” I guess fine dining is not part of this manager’s background, All in all, the food was great but the service, the wine glass size and the managers attitude really turned me off to returning. While business is great now, season ends, there are some days in summer when Palm Beach is pretty quiet, the locals are the ones who will help Le Bar stay in business.
Great experience to taste some special wines and meet some old friends. Good addition to very relaxing and stylish Palm Beach Island. We will be back.
