Unlike other non-resident reviews....I have lived in the Arbors of Ocala for over 2 years. We find the community safe, private and well taken care of. The Managers live in the park as well and are always available to anyone who needs them. Our family enjoys the pool as well as pot luck suppers, pancake breakfasts, Community Garage sale, BBQ's etc. You can be as active as you like or not! We are owners who pay lot rent monthly. Last year, our RENT did not increase, but the taxes went up a little over 2 bucks!!! Imagine that! City living (not county), close to all shopping, and great hospitals. We don't golf, but, for those who do...there is a beautiful Public course within 3 miles of the Park. City living affords our family loads of opportunities like: Downtown Square Ocala! The Square has something for everyone young and old. Many Great Restaurants, Quaint Shops to Browse, Concerts, Farmers Market Every Friday AM. If you want affordable City living, The Arbors of Ocala Mobile Home community is the place to be ;)

My Grandmother lives in this park. It is a wonderful community. Every time I have visited the park has been extremely well maintained and looks beautiful. The neighbors are friendly, and so are the managers. Living so far away, when I could not get in touch with my Grandma, I have called the Managers and they checked in on her and got back to me. I love having that peace of mind. The internet has worked great for me when I have visited, which is good since my Grandma does not have internet through her home.nAfter reading one review here, I asked her, and she said they have regular community meeting with the owners every fall, though she does not always go to them. Last year they did not have a rent increase. I guess you will always find someone who likes to complain, but my Grandmother loves living there, and she will tell you if you stop to ask her.

They do not improve the community. The have to be nagged to keep the pool clean. They have a very bad feral cat problem, and will not do anything about it. I will be moving my home out of there.

AVOID!!!! Terrible place! In the summer the pool is green. You can never get a hold of the park managers even though they live right in the park. They ignore phone calls. No amenities. You pay for your own trash removal, sewer, water, and have to maintain your own lot's lawn. All rent covers is the right to park your home in the park. They've also installed a new internet service, promising it would be great and works 30% of the time. And they hike up rent every year without a community vote and technically for no reason other than greed. If you are looking to buy in there, go around and talk to residents first! Shop around for sure and you'll see what all the other parks here in Ocala offer and what this one doesn't. And they won't register your home for you, so don't ask. They take the money and never register your home and never tell you they didn't do it. They have actually done that to a few residents. Mostly elderly live there and it's against Florida state law to take advantage of the elderly, but they do. So much more wrong with this place, but I feel this review is long enough. AVOID!!!!!!

I am looking at parks in the Ocala area for my Mother so she can be closer to me. The Arbors of Ocala should certainly fit the bill. Near to things in Town, gorgeous wooded setting. The people who live there seem very friendly and Heathyr, the salesperson/manager introduced me to some of them. The told me the rent did not go up at all for 2014 (taxes went up about $2) and there are none of the hidden extra fees that some parks charge. Water is paid for inthe lot rent. There was even free WIFI and I was able to get on with my laptop, and it was just as good as I get at home with cable. There seems to be a lot going on a the clubhouse so my mother can be as active as she wants to be. The park apparently hosts a New Year's eve party, free to residents and some sort of a cookout in the spring/summer. Lovely park, and lovely people. I think my mother will be happy here, and I can't find a better place for her to live near me.
