I like colleges. You'll usually find (at least) a few intelligent people hangin' around. On this particular day, however, no one was on campus. COVID-19, don't you know?

Great new options. Prices could be better.

I've lived in Garcia, Cervantes, and I'm currently in family housing. You can't beat the convenience but I've been consistently underwhelmed with their response times to work orders (multiple roof leaks, swamp cooler not working) and family housing units are like ovens in the summer. At least the community is quiet and there are nice parks for kids or walking your dog close by. Plus there are decent sized back yards.

Seems beneficial until you realize that you and your roommate are spending somewhere in the ballpark of 1000$ a month to share one small room and a bathroom with two others. Breaks their own "quiet hour" rules by holding school-sponsored parties with loud music that go nearly all night on normal weekdays. Laundry is unreasonably expensive.

The people that work here are rude, non-punctual, and don't care about the students. They make the housing contracts year long so that they can trap you in residential charges. The employees all the way from department to individual dorm offices don't communicate with each other. They claim to always be busy, but the offices are ghost town. The amount they charge for dorms are unrealistic a room/closet SHARED with one other person and a bathroom SHARED with three other people is roughly $480 a month. And these are some of the cheapest dorms. It is so much cheaper to just live off campus, you could save hundreds. But you could save thousands, not even enrolling. Go to UTEP instead.
