Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Virginia

There are very professional therapists here but the place is completely overworked, overcrowded, constantly noisy at all hours of the nice. The management of this place is horrific and cheap and I do not recommend going here for any kind of recovery.

Greetings allnI was at Encompass Rehab Center in Aldie VA back in September of last year. I personally enjoyed the 2 weeks I was there. The staff was great, treated me with respect and made a great plan and goal for my rehabilitation. They even called specialists to come and evaluate me so that they could help me get adaptive equipment to help make life easier for when I got home. I definitely recommend this company for rehabilitation. Even during this pandemic they are working tirelessly to make sure everyone is treated with care and equally.

My father was recently in this facility for about two weeks. The staff was thoughtful and purposeful in his care. Upon admittance to the facility, they had a team meeting about him, and developed a strategy that catered to his specific needs. From there, the various disciplines provided our family constant updates, and solicited information to help him along.nnHe was in a different rehabilitation center approximately two years ago, and the experience was vastly different (i.e. not good). This facility was clean and the staff was incredibly responsive and friendly. My father, who rightfully was anxious about staying in another rehabilitation center, also spoke highly of the care he received. That is not nothing, believe me.nnOur family highly recommends Encompass (NOVA). A huge thank you to the staff!

People be aware!!! First impression are wrong. People are mistreated at this place. Don’t take your love one into this place. U will regret it. If u do , always asked u family members how they are treated. U love one are pressure to state into this place, There is no obligation to be at this place. Take your love ones home immediately!!!!!

This is a hard one for me to review to be honest, I am of a mixed mind.nnThe nurses and Physical Therapy were very good. It is very clear that they only want the best for the patient and we fought very hard to get as much PT as possible. They showed much patience when needed, came up with unique strategies for each case, and set expectations accordingly.nnThe business of Encompass is quite horrible (entirely offsetting any gains by the nurses and PT). It is clear that their priority is the relationship with the insurance companies and Encompass' profit margins. The patient care is a VERY DISTANT second to trying to maximizing their profits. Case managers were very difficult to get a hold of and routinely did not return communications. When we did communicate they were always looking to blame other people and they took zero responsibility for anything. In my case, my insurance company disagreed with the Encompass doctors recommendation of care. Encompass was not willing to step up and own the judgement of the doctor. They immediately caved to the insurance company and refused to fight for the patient.nnThe PT is very good but you need to be very mindful that this organization is 100% a for profit organization and the patients needs will always take a backseat to their profits. If you are looking for a rehab that will help you navigate your insurance company and get the best care possible then this is NOT the place for you.
