The hospital itself is great but y’all’s phone directory is a CF, someone needs to get that organized. My wife and I have to spend 45 minutes on the phone getting redirected 5 times to get to a voicemail box. It’s a waste of time. Direct #s to reach the clinician’s office we need would be preferable.

Went with a relative to take her child for treatment. Sixth floor check in person had mask down under her nose then pulled it completely down. When I asked her to put it up, she refused. Several construction workers came out of construction area, two had no mask at all. Several had mask pulled down. Very sad.

Everything is in one place the doctors are really really good in working with the kids. They also have a lot of information for parents.

I can’t speak for the WHOLE hospital but I have to tell you I ended up having to change my daughter’s ophalmologist due to the lack of organization, communication, and professionalism. I live 2 hours away from Richmond and The first appointment I made with them we went to just to find out whoever “made” the appointment didn’t hit the save button and they were too busy to squeeze us in. We had to reschedule for for an appointment 4 months later. We went to that and it was good, however my daughter has made no progress with her problems and has only gotten worse so We were relying on the follow up which was scheduled for yesterday, 02/25/20 and once again I drive ALLLLL the way to the appointment for them to tell me that they sent me a letter in the mail rescheduling the appointment and that we couldn’t be seen. Needless to say I was livid. What kind of practice, especially one as big as this one, sends a letter in the mail to reschedule? The letter never came I never got it but even so why wouldn’t the office CALL me? How did they know that the time and date they chose was good for me? How come I never received a text or email to confirm the new appointment or to remind me? It’s unacceptable in my opinion and unprofessional. I take the health of my children very seriously, my daughter’s condition has worsened and she needs help and unfortunately has to see a specialist. I hope they get it together for other’s sake. And I thank the Lord that ANOTHER doctors office was able to squeeze us in quickly so my daughter can get the help she needs, the doctor is not at the hospital, I will be avoiding y’all at all costs and will be spreading the word. The pediatric Ophthalmology department needs MAJOR improvements.
