I am absolutely dissatisfied with the conditions and service at Sentara Virginia Beach General. My wife has been admitted to the hospital and waiting for an MRI for four days. The On Call doctor is nowhere to be found and does not communicate what my wife’s treatment is going to be. They are definitely guilty of Disability Discrimination. I don’t fault the nursing staff but am totally frustrated with the hospital management and the inability to communicate a treatment plan.

Just released from surgery, the angels at 4 West Surgical were the most caring, attentive and patient team I could ever hope to have. My deepest thanks to you all, who are so sincere your their caring, I know you love your job and love people. In spite of my pain, I could not have had better care in my 5 days with you all. Thanks so very much. (And a special thanks to your amazing meal ladies who memorized every order without a single mistake.

My mother is dying and we are told only one family member can be with her. Then to add to it I am wearing full face shield here all day, no problem until I go down to the lobby and told I have to wear a mask or leave. Even thought the doctor said the shield was fine! This is why I r ees f it seems to use th iui s hospital myseld.

I went to the Emergency room at about 1:30-2:00 am for chest pains. After the initial care, they wanted to admit me into the hospital to find out why I was having chest pain. I have a long history of heart problems. I agreed and was waiting to get admitted when one of the attachments from the heart monitor fell off. Now this was no big problem, until it was. The doctor left me at about 3:00 am. No one came to check on me, or even attempt to reattach the lead so that the constant beeping would stop. This went on till 7:00 am in the morning. I walked out. I know that the monitor in my room wasn't monitored at the desk because no one came to help reattach the lead and stop the constant beeping. If something this meanial is overlooked, why would I trust them with something major, like my heart.

Great customer service. There is a person in the waiting room who continually updates you on your family member's progress. They place you in a private consultation room to talk to the surgeon post op. All the waiting rooms are furnished with couches and comfortable chairs.nThe patient rooms are the best that I have seem.
