Dr. McGowan and his team did an incredible job helping my mother! The results of her surgery were much better than expected and the kind, caring treatment she received from Dr. McGowan was beyond expectations. I would recommend him to anyone!

Every member of the team from the young lady at check in to the kind young person at check out was courteous, professional and helpful. Every one was actually cheerful as they went about their responsibilities.nnDr. Durban was his usual understanding, concerned and professional self. He really knows his stuff--my knee is much, much better after his treatment.

I’m glad so many people have had a good experience here, but I cannot relate. The office staff left a voicemail for me the morning of my appointment to see if I wanted to come in earlier. I called them back to say I needed to keep my scheduled time. When I said this, the person on the phone seemed annoyed and told me she had to make sure they could still see me at that time because the doctor had blocked out the time of my appointment. I was still able to come, but the x-ray tech as well as assistant who brought me to an exam room mumbled and acted like I was supposed to read their minds with where to go, what to do, etc. It really spoke to the unprofessional nature of the staff. Thankfully I don’t need a follow-up at this place. If I have to go to an orthopedist in the future, I’ll try the office in Newport News instead.
