This review is for my Dad. Due to her neglectful response of service to a medical situation. It caused a major delay of income and stability of his employment. Then to make matters worst, she discontinued medical care service with him... which caused important information to not be shared and not followed through properly. She had plenty of time to rectify my Dad's issue and her attention to his need was poorly done.

She is a very, very thorough doctor. She takes her job seriously. I messed up on being a bad patient, by delaying my blood work for several months, etc. Not taking my meds as told, missed appointments and she will cut you loose. I highly recommend her.

I have been with dr. Burkey at least 13 years, I'm a 52 year old man. I am also retired military ( so I have seen a lot of doctors). Dr. Burkey is kind and genuine I am very please with her and her staff. Thank you hank

I recently moved to the area and was in need of a new doctor. Unfortunately, she did not work out at all. I wanted to continue the same treatments as my previous doctor had prescribed but apparently that was beyond her expertise. She wanted to subject me to verious testings that were not covered by my insurance. She set me up for the tests but due to insurance not covering it my appointment was cancelled. I also had a copay which I had never had before at my previous doctors office and I disputed the fact that they charged me so they again cancelled on me. I had reset up an appointment with her because I do need refills on my prescriptions but was unable to make it due to work so I had to cancel. She dismissed me as a patient. She is money hungry and impossible to work with.

I went to Dr. Burkey for several years while I lived in Williamsburg. I saw her high ratings on other doctor review sites, and they are well-earned. Her kindness, gentleness, and willingness to both listen and provide information is so appreciated. She stays up-to-date on current medical literature and guidelines and makes the experience as relaxing as possible. Also, having your main doctor also provide OBGYN services is pretty convenient. I'd highly recommend Dr. Burkey.
