A little overdue and I never thought in my life I would review a funeral home but here it goes. Lost both my parents within weeks apart in late 2020. Obviously the most difficult time frame I've had in my short life and the last thing I wanted to do was talk about finances and burial preparations. Throughout this whole entire process Katie McCann of Nelson funeral home was honestly the only positive aspect throughout this entire ordeal. She was considerate, kind, nurturing and extremely patient for both situations with my parents. She understood and respected our financial situation and all of our burial requests. If you use Nelson, ask for Katie. She honestly made a dark situation better and for that 5 ☆☆☆☆☆.

My husband and I wanted to pre-arrange and pay for our cremation services at Nelsen Funeral Home and Crematory. We met with Anna, an advanced planning specialist, who guided us in making our decisions and answered our questions. She was a good listener, professional, informed, courteous, and extremely helpful in assisting us to make our simple plans as we desired. It gives us a great sense of reassurance to know that our children do not have to worry about what we might have wanted, and that our wishes will be implemented.

EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL WITH ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND COMPASSION DURING OUR DIFFICULT TIME. WE WERE NOT IN THE SAME STATE AND THEY TOOK CARE OF THE ARRANGEMENTS FLAWLESSLY. THANK YOU FOR SUCH SPECIAL CARE DURING THE DEATH OF MY FATHER GEORGE S GENAKOS.

I was very happy with my experience with Nelsen Funeral Home. My mother died during the Pandemic and I was unable to be with her at the Nursing Home when she died and I was not able to go to the Funeral Home since I was required to stay at home in Maryland. We were forced to do everything through email and phone. Katie walked me through my mother's cremation with compassion and professionalism. Everything went smoothly and without stress. I will always be thankful that Nelsen was there in my time of need.
