Paul's Deli & Neighborhood Restaurant

Don’t get me wrong, they have amazing food. As the service goes, not so much. I am a local and I have come to the restaurant multiple times over the past year and the service has gotten worse and worse with each visit. Lately, I have come to this restaurant to either not be acknowledged by the hostess stand or been seated and never had a waitress/waiter show up. Love the food, but I will probably not come back again after the poor service.

Best fried seafood in town. The fried scallop dinner is the best fried scallops in the area. This place will surprise you. We go to the location at New Town it's very big, very clean, great staff and great food!!nFeb 2021. Got the Combo Pizza. Home run. Deep dish. OMG Legit!!!!

Great food

The first time I went here, the hostess placed me in a little itty bitty table which shouldn’t have been a table- the seats were literally made of brick and pulled the fabric of my pants. The entire restaurant was empty too. I asked for a change and the hostess seemed annoyed. The food was pretty good, but over time I’ve realized that the service at Paul’s is terrible and the food safety committee should shut this place down. As someone who lives nearby, I’ve seen the staff hardly wearing masks in the kitchen and on their breaks. The fact that someone is cooking food maskless in a pandemic is worthy of the whole place being shut down. The owner loves to park in front of a fire hydrant by the back door I guess to block the visibility of the kitchen, and even the times I’ve called the police on the car blocking the way, the police have told me he is careless and will not comply by any rules. Their music often goes on past quiet hours which is extremely disturbing when trying to sleep. The live music tends to be extremely loud and extremely bad. One particular occasion I called because their fire alarms went off all night and kept the entire neighborhood awake and they were playing live music late at night, and the staff put me on hold for over seven minutes and then proceeded to hang up on me. May i also say the owners or managers were NOWHERE to be found the night of the fire alarms even though the fire units were trying to contact them. I can’t imagine what must go on behind the scenes if the service and management are that awful. The only reason I give it two stars is because their food was decent and their fire pits are very cool.

Have been there multiple time. Today they were slow. We have 6 of us. Got a table and took a while to order drinks. After drinks arrived we ordered our food. Took over a hour to get food and it was cold. After food was delivered we never saw waitress until we got the check. Very disappointed. You would think being slow we could have gotten better service. Do not think we will be back.
