Just as we pictured. An authentic log cabin, nestled in the mountains. Picturesque, unique and very rustic. Beds and sleep area were very comfortable. Great place for hikers to Crabtree Falls or a segment of the Appalachian trail. Hosts were helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend for a once in a lifetime experience.

I absolutely loved my time at Annie’s Cabin! You can hear water rushing subtly from your bed as you sleep. You can see a stream and listen to it on the porch. Crabtree falls park is so close we decided to walk. It’s only a 1/4 mile up or so. Everything around us was beautiful. There are 3 cats that live there and 2 hung out with us on the porch. We gave them a bit of bread and rice although they are already fed and given water daily. There will be a fair amount of stink bugs and lady bugs but we honestly didn’t mind it too much as it is part of the experience. We loved the little priest view lounge where we were able to check in with family and friends occasionally. They have movies and books for you to enjoy as well. In the cabin they had a little gas heater that would warm the entire upper level, amazing for the winter season. They do provide a kitchen with pots pans and utensils. There are mostly curtains instead of doors so everyone in the cabin will need to be comfortable with each other. I went with my best friend, we had a blast(: thank you for taking care of these cabins!

My stay at Barb's House was really special! This cabin was a little bit more secluded than some of the others and the privacy was really great. It was only two of us but the cabin can accommodate up to 6 guests.nnThe area is next to the road, however, it is still secluded so don't expect to have any cell service or WiFi in the cabin. The priest view lounge has these if you need as well as a nice collection of dvds and some books if you run out of activities.nnThe cabins are right next to a lot of hiking which was really convenient. All in all, 10/10 would go back again.

Great weekend getaway! We stayed in Richards Retreat and it was amazing to unplug and just relax. There’s a hot tub right off the master, a picnic table area with a grill, a fire pit, and a nice private yard. The cabin was so cozy and welcoming, I loved it. Beth Anne and Paul were great hosts and were very quick to reply to any questions or concerns we had. We will definitely be returning in the fall with our children to show them around! ❤ufe0f
