Thought we would give this place another shot as it is a local establishment and I try to give hometown businesses my money if possible. Plus they were releasing their specialty beer that weekend. I called ahead and asked about food. They said they encourage outside food as the do not serve food. We stopped at a fast food restaurant, picked up lunch, and headed over.nnWe were stopped at the door and told we were not allowed in with outside drinks. We tried telling them we had just spoken with someone and they said “You can’t bring an open container into a place that serves alcohol.” even though we have not had that issue at other places in Staunton. I took the kids back out to the car while my wife went in to purchase a bottle to go.nnShe said that when she went in, she asked about the different types and they don’t do samples. If you want to buy a beer, you had to buy a bottle or a pour. They weren’t even doing flights.nnNot family friendly, would not recommend. It doesn’t matter how good the beer is, it’s not worth the hassle.
Incredible beer and service. The vibe is intimate and pleasant, and the staff are knowledgeable and extremely personable. My go-to in Staunton.
Quiet space (it was a federal holiday) but cozy. Friendly staff and good beers.
Down to earth pub. Good beer, cool people, very chill. Aluminum, glass, and stainless steel growlers available.
Love this place! They just remodeled and it looks fantastic. I have literally never had a bad beer there. My current favorite is the Little Mama. They always have a varied selection so there is something for every taste.nnThe staff is always friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the beers and you can often hear the owner tinkering on his next wonderful concoction in the back.nnThey are also great about enforcing masks and social distancing which I really appreciate. They have a good sized outdoor seating area as well.nnI highly recommend this place!
