Last January while moving some furniture from Williamsburg to my storage unit in Farmville, this U-Haul facility was friendly. However, the staff didn't help with regard to making a small mileage correction.. I had explained that my mileage was slightly inaccurate upon leaving Williamsburg and hoped it wouldn't count against me. Nobody at the Williamsburg U-Haul facility or the Farmville destination bothered to help me with that correction. I ended up being charged a small overage fee on my credit card because of inaccurate mileage upon departure. Although it was only a small fee, I didn't deserve to be charged any extra fee at all. Customer service could be improved to some degree.
No Truck! After we reserved AND got a Confirmation Number! U-Haul did NOT provide a truck as promised.nWe were assured we could pick up a truck at noon on a Sunday in Famville, Va. The day before we were informed (and then, only after I called THEM), that they would not have a truck for us, after all!nThis was a moving and planning disaster!nCAUTION: Do not count on them!
