This building provides a lot of architectural beauty for High Street in Farmville. Fortunately, our Farmville real estate office, Piedmont Real Estate, is located nearby at 102 High Street, and I enjoy walking our dogs on lunch break by this church and Longwood University right across the street. The YouTube interior photography for this church is excellent, and the stained glass windows are beautiful. Hopefully, as the the pandemic lets up over the coming weeks and months, we'll all be able to attend our places of worship safely in person again!
A beautiful church with gorgeous architecture. The parking isn't too bad and it seems like a great place for the students. Definitely a place to visit if you're in the area and looking to worship God.
Great church. Very open minded and welcoming
It's hard to review a church. You either sound overly supportive and biased, or insincere just to be nice. Alternately you may sound overly critical and add concerns that aren't really relevant. Saying that, I feel that people at FUMC are typically friendly and inviting and will greet you the same if you are visiting or a 10 year member. The services are uplifting and the message pertinent. I've always searched for a congregation of people who follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, who don't act judgemental and intolerant of those who do not. This is that congregation. I was always told methodists are heretics. They certainly are, and there is nowhere else I feel more in the spirit.
