Main Branch - Richmond Public Library

This was once a beautiful and pleasant library. It was my go-to library in Richmond for any literature or reference material that was difficult to find anywhere else. Unfortunately, it has become a ghetto shelter, with sketchy individuals loitering around the exterior of the front entrance and all through the interior of the building. Yet another tragedy in the saga of the decline of the City Of Richmond, Virginia.

I very much appreciate the staff here. They work with a large variety of clients and patrons and are still able to serve everyone.

I’ve been coming to this library for years. Great place to study. The staff is so helpful and the library is big and inviting.

The staff is wonderful. The building, albeit a little dog-eared, is accessible and charming. The library's central location in downtown Richmond is a fine anchor to the slow but burgeoning renaissance that Richmond's financial district is experiencing. Lots of books to enjoy for the price of walking through the front door.
