Our family recently used the services of this funeral home. Do yourself a favor, don’t make the mistake we did. Do not rely on tradition. We have used them before, but it was many years ago. Different owners, different attitude, same decor. First of all the office lady was rude and not compassionate. Her first words to us was “do you have insurance” when the death was reported. The owner was elderly and confused. He rambled on and on and we still aren’t sure what he was saying. The younger staff member was child like and inexperienced. The other walked around on his cell phone all evening. We were on our own. The facility is outdated and not accessible to those with mobility issues. Very high priced for the service you get. Please go by and visit before the need arises. See for yourself. Don’t make the mistake we did.

Obviously our family must have caught them on a bad day.Our experience is nothing like the other reviews we see on here. First of all the place is hard to find. When we called for directions we were talked to very rudely by the lady who answered the phone (we later found out it was the owners wife). Upon arriving, the building decor is very outdated and uninviting. We found it odd that all the lights were off at 2:00 in the afternoon on a weekday. The staff was less than friendly. Our initial meeting with the owner was a disaster. We couldn't understand anything he said as he mumbled and spoke in such a low tone it was not audible. The funeral planning meeting lasted for 2 hours to cover a topic that should have taken 15 minutes. No common courtesy provided. No offers of coffee, water or anything even though they knew we drove straight in from North Carolina. The owners wife and the yard boy were talking and laughing so loud in another office that it was distracting. The service itself was a horrible. Very unorganized. Seemingly the first time any of them had ever had a funeral to conduct. The owners wife started turning the lights off in the chapel before we even left the building. We felt very rushed to get out. And to top it all off, they are outrageously priced! We took a copy of the bill to another funeral home in the area to see if the fees were in line, they aren't. Absolutely horrible experience. Avoid the disappointment. Do not use this funeral home .

I attended the services of Gerald Moore and I'm amazed that they can't seem to figure out how to use their own sound system. I could hear the office phone ringing louder than I could hear the minister speaking in their tiny chapel. To be honest, most of our family uses a different funeral home. Today I know why. Absolutely no attention to detail. Not a single common courtesy. Disappointed to say the least.

Although the receptionist was less than friendly, the rest of the staff was exceptional. The facility was a bit outdated and difficult to find, but very clean and tidy. Special appreciation to Anthony for his guidance and assistance. He made things much easier and was the ultimate professional. I’m confident my uncle would have been pleased.
