Beware! I took my car here for an annual inspection. They're a local place and have plenty of good reviews. I recently serviced my car elsewhere in the fall for general maintenance. I was happy with the other location but just needed a quick inspection and Village Exxon could get me in.nnA few hours after dropping off my car they called to say they discovered a suspension issue. It would cost me over $600 but luckily they had a coupon for this service so they could do it for closer to $400. I was caught off guard by this since I just had my car serviced and that is a lot of money when you're only expecting a routine inspection.nnI asked them what my options would be and they said I could take it somewhere else but they would have to fail my inspection. I get the failing part. I also get that something can happen to your car even if its been serviced recently. The high price and convenient coupon made me skeptical. Really because I wondered if I could get the repair done elsewhere for a better price.nnI picked up my car. Paid them $20 for the failed inspection. Felt that was fair at the time since they did perform the inspection after all. I have since taken my car to TWO different places. Neither of them could identify any major issues at all. Nothing besides needing new wiper blades. The first place passed my inspection. The second I just went to in case the first missed something because I didn't want to be broken down on the side of the rode. But nothing came of this. The car is completely fine....nnNow I feel very differently about even paying them $20. I feel like they tried to dupe me and even though I caught it, I still paid for it. A $600 repair and they luckily had a coupon for me seemed too good to be true. And it was. Very dishonest. Be very careful if you take your car here. I would not recommend it.

This isn’t my “regular” mechanic. I take my car here every once in a while for oil changes because it’s convenient to my workplace. It’s the only place I would take my car “every once in a while.” I learned a while ago that a relationship with a regular mechanic is key to not being ripped off. This place has always been trustworthy. Never tried to convince me Into additional services. They’re flexible and nice and I just plain like their way of business.

I already had a $20 emailed coupon that I was prepared to use, but was offered a $40 coupon that related directly to the services being procured and was instructed to hold onto the $20 for later visit. I really appreciate that, every little bit helps, especially these days. Everyone is courteous and helpful, the facility is clean and well attended.

Always grateful for their service. It is so rare to have an actual service station. They have plugged a tire for me and topped off radiator fluid for me in recent weeks. Thoughtful and kind staff.
