We started at Dora Junction which is the northern terminus for the trail. The parking is 7$ but that was the case at all the lots I explored on this section ride. The trail has some rough patches due to horse or vehicle traffic but there are some fantastic views of the New River and rolling hills along the way.

Yes sir, this is a great stop ,just walk on over to Terry Joe's store and get your grubb on. Was a great day

Good place to start for a ride on the New River trail. This trail head is close to I-81 and has plenty of parking. Draper is also a cute little town with a restaurant and shops. There is a bathroom at this station as well.

Nice place to visit with a general store nearby and bike shop with bike rentals. The Draper Mercantile is a great place to grab a good meal and listen to live music. The New River Trail is next door with drinking water and restrooms. Parking is $5. The 57 mile trail is good for biking, walking, and horseback riding. This beautiful trail starts at Pulaski and ends at Galax.
