Pan Am Shopping Center

Shopping center with varied types of shops. The entrance close to Lee Highway is treacherous, very sharp tuna take you to an always busy series of walking paths with shoppers entering or leaving the supermarket. Some of them do not realize how distracted drivers are. There is always the shopper who is looking for parking like their life depends on it, so just be mindful of other's shortcomings and carry a little extra patience.

Parking is fine. Easy to get in and out off. Good selection of shops

Nice location for shopping just would be more safer if they had better crosswalks on the street next to the shopping center

In my opinion and assessment quality of Safeway meat, seafood, fruits, vegetables and baked goods are mediocre. I prefer buying all organic and shop Whole Foods Vienna for food. I drop by Safeway to buy paper products, aluminum foil, plastic food wrap, baggies, soda, wine, beer, etc. because of the convent location relative to where I live. Best feature of Pan Am Safeway in my mind is ample parking and staff are friendly.nnPan Am Safeway was late coming around to routine cleaning of checkout conveyor belts and quality of cleaning varies among checkers. This store can be seriously congested during prime shopping times. Customers are not attentive to following directional traffic flow arrows on the floor. It seems to me many simply ignore them and store staff and management do not even attempt to train customers to abide. Consequently, I shop here at off peak times.nnYears ago I occasionally bought sliced ham or turkey at the deli counter for sandwiches. The counter display had a wide range of quality brands that includes Boar’d Head and Smithfield Virginia meats among others. I don’t recall exactly when the point was that Safeway decided to eliminate the nice array of options but all was taken away and the counter became exclusively Dietz & Watson meats which I tried once. I now have a negative pavlovian response when passing by the deli counter on the path to the wine department. Another particularly annoying store policy is their abundance of disposable cardboard box promotional product displays placed in aisles. You have to navigate around them with your shopping cart and ALL of them obstruct access to products on fixed shelving they are butted up to. It’s a real joy shopping here. Compensating factors of pleasant staff (not management), ample parking and convenient Nutley St. and Lee Hwy. corner location keep it from getting a 2 star rating from me.

Great place to visit for multiple reasons: Build a personal Tech Center - visit MicroCenter! Arts & crafts - Michael's! Good eats - Glory Days & a few others I plan to try. Quick groceries/Pharm needs - Safeway & CVS! Great job Pan Am SC!
