Centra Rehabilitation - Nationwide Drive

All DPT's are not created equal. That is why I drove from Roanoke twice weekly for over twelve weeks to see Dr.Heather Brumfield, DPT. I have been a corporate CPA for many years and had only used my body to support my head. In other words, I was out of shape and had a very weak core. While swinging a golf club for the first time in two years, I injured my spine, had spinal fusion and could barely walk. Heather's education, knowledge, and experience worked on me, and with me and compassionately helped me increase muscle strength. She used ART (Active Release Technique), which was invaluable in giving me relief from pain and discomfort and increased mobility. Heather and the staff at 125 Nationwide Drive changed my life.

I had ACL and meniscus surgery and saw a PT at a different practice for 10 weeks and was still having severe pain and the inability to fully kick my leg out. I made the decision to switch PT practices and started seeing Heather Brumfield. She did a manual release of one of the tendons in my knee and I immediately was able to fully kick my leg with minimal pain. In just 2 weeks with her I went from having to climb my stairs one step at a time because I physically couldn’t do it with my surgical leg to being able to go up the stairs almost normal. My quality of life and functional mobility significantly improved in just one session and continues to improve the more I go to therapy. I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel! Heather looks at the person as a whole and treats accordingly, you will not regret the decision to go see her!

Heather Brumfield and her AR training have given me my feeling back in my fingers and hand. She never gives up and goes the extra mile to be sure she has done all she can to solve the problem. She is the most amazing therapist and person! Thank you Heather for being the best!!!!
