Protecting a very busy part of Virginia. Patrolling I-81 and I-64 interchange, seizing drugs and chasing the suspects that run and catch them. Taking care of the courthouse and simply protecting everyone in this area. By far, this is one of the best departments in Virginia.

Most of these reviews were left during a re-election campaign where the challenger made all sorts of false or exaggerated claims against him. My interaction with the ACSO has always been good. If you're not breaking laws or hanging with people who are, they won't bother you. I've never seen them act inappropriately under Sheriff Smith's tenure. There's a reason he was overwhelmingly reelected last year.

I would like to thank Aaron Will for being professional and courteous during our encounter. Yes, he gave me a ticket - I see why he wins awards for speed limit reinforcement. He was also fair and polite (I wasn't lying about driving back from NC due to a death in the family, by the way, and I really didn't realize how fast I was going). I'm happy to know he's on the force helping to protect and serve us.

The Average Response Time When I've called them is Less Than 10 minutes! And for a county the SIZE OF OURS N STAFF VACANCIES,,, IS CLOSE TO EXCELLENT!
