Richard Sugden Library

I don't live in Spencer anymore, but I'm on a nostalgia trip and remembered how much of my childhood I spent at this library. I grew up during the 00s and 2010s and would often walk nearly a mile to just hang out and discover new books there. Richard Sugden Library might as well have been my second home! This place holds a special spot in my Forever Memories. The staff were always so kind, encouraging, and warm. I was no stranger to their free programs and always had a blast at those too.nnI'm here right now leaving this review, a decade later, mainly just because I Googled out of fear that they'd be closed down by now, what with the rise of audiobooks and such. I'm on the verge of happy-tears at seeing that they're still open. I myself don't read as much as I did when I was younger, but I greatly miss this place and could most certainly see myself stopping by next time I'm in the area. I can only hope that they'll let me sign up for a library card even if I'm not longer a Spencer resident. Even if they don't, my opinion of this place remains as high as it always has been.

Very clean. Have many groups that meet there along with many free programs for all ages. Staff is very helpful, and if they do not have a book you are looking for, they are more than willing to see if other libraries have it.

I haven’t been here in a while but this library is beautiful and relaxing atmosphere loved goin an spending my time.

I love going to the library, using the computers and just finding the right book with the help of friendly employees!
