Fitchburg Public Library, MA

I love the Fitchburg Public Library. I’ve been using this library for 70 years, of course not always located where it is now. Back in the 50s we all loved when the bookmobile came to our neighborhood. It was a regular occurrence and one everyone looked forward to. When I became a mother I brought my daughter and her friends to the library on a regular basis and she now brings her 2 children. The staff has change, the place has changed but it’s still the great place it’s always been welcoming families of readers of all ages!

I have taken my grandchildren to 4 libraries. Fitchburg is the best for programs , the best librarians and most often the best kids can be meet there and friendship bloom. It took months in another library of weekly visits for friendships to develop. At that library there was only 1 program there age appropriate. Fitchburg has several well developed programs and we love their staff.

I’ve never seen such an establishment run so poorly, I have gotten assaulted twice by individuals outside of the premises for my wallet and jacket. The staff is incoherent and utters the wrong rules when trying to sit at different places when it’s busy. Go to Lunenburg or anywhere else.
