INTERVENTIONAL PAIN MANAGEMENT: Dr. Kalyan Kalava

Dr is slow over books makes you late for work does absolutely nothing for you other then crams meds down your throat take it for a week and call back well you call back noone never answers the phone

Personally have had a VERY VERY poor experience with this doctor and his office. I have been going back and forth with this doctor for over 2 years now receiving minimal to no results. He performed an RFA procedure on my lower back causing extreme nerve pain that lasted for months and months. Have rotated through several medications some with some pretty bad side effects, and patches that worked but not well. This doctor and his office told me they were going to try this new patch for pain....but it was coming from Michigan. They wanted me to come in for a follow up to be seen after trying these patches......I never received the patches and when I contacted the office when they stopped providing refills of a different medication, they informed me that they don't know what's going on with the patches..... How can you not know??!!!nnI've gone through 2 surgical procedures with this doctor. Both times I waited for over 45 minutes past my scheduled surgery time. It was ridiculous enough that the OR nurses were visibly irritated and were vocal about it.nnThe communication between the staff and the doctor is very poor. I always wait for over an hour for my appointment when being seen. This doctor will come into the room, completely unaware of your case, the procedures he has performed, and will ask you to remind him. He doesn't listen when you try to communicate with him either. The staff also never seems to know what is going on. I've made complaints to the office manager with no result.nnThe entire experience that I have had with this office has been so frustrating it has promoted me to write this review to warn others to stay away. If you want proper pain management care you will not receive it with this office and doctor. Thankful that my primary put in a referral to a different doctor and office when I requested. Hopefully my experience with a new office and doctor will be far better than my experience and care that I have received through this office.

Dr. kalavais one of the greatest doctors. He care about his patients. Dr. Kalava your awedome and understanding!

This place is a waste of time. I've been coming here for months and been put in more pain than I was already in. You tell that quacknof a Dr kalava what works and he won't prescribe it. He give you other meds that give you diharrea or blur your vision or makes your pain worse. I should have listened to the people at CVS pharmacy when they said stay away from him. If you have pain go to a neurologist. Over the counter meds work better than what kalava prescribes

Not a fan. Did injections that just exasterbated the spinal issues I'm having. I can't find another Dr in the area that does this area of work. Any recommendations?
