This was an amazing experience for our family of four. Get away from the crowds and kayak in an incredible place with absolutely wonderful people to guide you every step of the way. Great for everyone and was one of the best things we did while we were in Alaska. I highly recommend you book it as soon as you can, you will love it.

Our family of 5 booked a kayaking tour while in port during our Alaskan cruise in August of 2019. We all had a great time and consider it one of the highlights of our vacation. We even had a whale surface very close to our kayaks! You know when the tour guide gets excited about it, something really special has happened. Due to a medical emergency that had occurred on the cruise ship, we were about two hours late getting into Ketchikan and were afraid we would miss the tour entirely. Mary and Tim were able to accommodate us, and even asked another family who was staying at a hotel in town to delay the start of their tour so we could still go. Their flexibility, understanding and friendliness made it a great day for all of us.

There are 5 of us in the family, the 3 kids are youngest 12, and oldest 17, and we hike and backpack a bit. Tim and Mary take the time to understand a bit about your background and tailor the trip to it. For those who want a mellower, more sterotypical cruise ship tour, they can do that. For those who want a little more, they can do that, too, as they'll call ahead and try to understand your speed. We took a 5 hour trip, which included a boat ride, then kayaking, a hike, lunch and back. The boat ride is nice, as they'll take you to a more remote island. Then you kayak around a while. Then we went a great little hike with Tim. I'm not sure what his technical background is, but his interest and knowledge in botany was excellent and a lot of fun for my wife and older daughter who eat that stuff up. We were on a cruise, and I would say that this was considerably more personable and tailored than the other excursions we did. They are a small, two-person outfit, so you are dealing with the owners, and it shows. It's also fun to see a young couple committing to something and making a go of it. They are really a cut above the other options we engaged in during our cruise.

This was definitely a highlight of our trip. Tim and Mary are fantastic! It was so special to have a small family feel vs the large group excursions. Everything from their warm personalities, their knowledge and expertise, the beautiful kayaking ride to the smoked salmon at the end...our family of six highly recommends! Thank you Tim and Mary for an awesome experience!
