Imperial Beach Marine Safety

I was surfing during high surf conditions and I was pulled into sea by a riff current Ashley Hedrick was off duty at the time but she recognize the conditions and guided me to safety even grabbed my board once the surf snapped it off my leg. I would like to put in a good word for her bravery and service she saved me from a very dangerous situation!

To the hero that saved my 5 year old nephew on 10/7/18 from drowning in a current. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! Your selflessness will never ever be forgotten. My family will forever be grateful to you! A situation that could’ve ended very bad, didn’t because of you. Thank you!!!! God bless you!!!!!

My brother got stung by a stingray while out in the waves this weekend, and the lifeguards were fantastic. He was pretty scared but they comforted him, loaded us up in their truck and took great care of him with first aid and educating us about stingrays and how to avoid stings. They even gave us a ride back afterwards. Thanks guys

The lifeguard was very efficient when the water became rough. She updated parents quickly and helped keep the children safe.
