South Chula Vista Library

Library is closed at the moment due to Covid-19 but right now they have a testing site on the parking lot; you can get tested in your car or by waliking; it's pretty fast, easy and safe, you do need to make an appointment beforehand though on the website.

It is not open. Sign says closed until further notice. Even though online it says it’s open. It’s not.

I regularly take walks to this library with my daughters. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We enjoy the crafts and activities for the children and the sitting area. We love that it’s next to the park very convenient and helps us Spend time together without spending money.

The South Chula Vista Public Library location has a plentiful selection of books and reference materials, along with ample desks and seats, and computers for online access for any adult, child, parent, and student to use as a resource. The condition of parts and sections of the library building have deteriorated over time since it was first opened, and does show its age. It is in need of some serious refurbishment and repair. However, this did not have an effect on my visits. Despite the disheveled appearance of the library, the librarians were very helpful and informative during my visits. Friendly customer service that does deserve five stars. Thank you Libby and Maria! You both were awesome!
