Dr. Courtney Summers, MD

I just had to leave a review when I saw the star rating (the bad review being about the clinic not Dr. Summers) yes, it’s a low income clinic it’s not going to be perfect. But Dr. Summers is a very sweet, patient and genuine person and I was so grateful, when I moved to IB and needed a new PCP that takes Medi-cal, to find her.nnAs far as the clinic, yes there’s the usual communication issues but everyone was friendly and esp the back office people were great at their job!

Well, for one, if you are a woman and you are planning to, are having, or might even by accident, have a baby, I would not suggest going here. No doctors certified as OBGYN, no sonogram machine, no anything for a pregnant woman. They scheduled me for a follow-up appointment, which I had been told by other mothers I would get a sonogram done, and when i asked the nurse, she didn't say there wasn't one. WRONG. They just wanted to waste time and money (which isn't happening anyways since my husband is in the Navy and I get free pregnancy care) and give me some health papers which they already gave to me the FIRST time I went there to take a confirming pregnancy test. Stupid place, IMO. Don't tell me one thing and then do none of what was I was told would happen.
