Barbwire and Lace

This place is awesome! I got married here on 10/03/2020 and it was the best thing ever the lady had everything set up when we got there and she also went out of her way to make sure that we were taken care of! Carol is so so so amazing and she always makes sure that she gets in touch with you or answers the phone! and the prices are great everyone at our wedding was amazed with the place and also the price! its like to good to be true! i will recommend anyone and everyone that ever asks me to come here!!! She makes sure that she does everything and anything to make sure you have one of the best times and day at your wedding she goes out of her way to make sure it is just the way that you would like your wedding to be! thank you so much carol for everything and i had an amazing day thanks you to you!

This was my first time at this venue. It is in a beautiful setting. There are many rustic buildings each filled to overflowing with interesting antiques and treasures. It is a little western village. The wedding faire was lovely, delicious, and delightfully presented. I will recommend Barbwire and Lace to anyone who wants someplace that is different and extraordinary for their next event. I loved my visit there.

The venue itself is gorgeous but the owner Carole can ruin one of the most important days of your life. It takes a lot to upset me and I am not one to take the time to write reviews. However, I feel that future brides should know how I, as the bride, and my family were treated at this venue before and DURING my wedding. When it came to planning the wedding, it was extremely hard to get a hold of Carole (owner). She would not return calls, voicemails, or texts and I would attempt to contact her for weeks before finally getting through to her. The main reason I am leaving this review is because of how my guests were treated DURING the wedding. Carole barked orders at my father, father in law, and groomsmen after the ceremony to start moving the chairs we used for the ceremony and put them away. When we ignored her because we were trying to take our wedding party pictures while guests were arriving for the reception, Carole came up to me and my husband and stated that if we did not put the chairs away right now that she would charge us extra 500 dollars for a cleanup fee. Then during the reception Carole was barking orders and my grandmother in-law (and 80 yr old woman), mother’s of the bride and groom telling them that they had to stand at our food table the entire evening to monitor it so that kids were not helping themselves to the food any making a mess. Following the reception, they made my family clean up all trash and TAKE IT HOME (which was not stated in the contract). This venue is extremely pricey and for the way we were treated it was definitely not worth the price we paid. I hope this review helps other brides avoid the horrible experience I had here with the owner.

Very beautiful for a wedding. Love the owner she and her husband are very friendly. Place is very well maintained. Animals for kids to see. (Cute goat named Gus)

Absolutely love this venue. Carol has made it so comfy, quaint, and rustic. She has such an eye for details and you can tell by the love she puts into the rooms, serving supplies, the grounds,etc. We took family pictures here and love how wonderful they turned out because of the background.
