Whole Foods Parking Lot

Free, somewhat tricky-to-find underground parking lot for the Whole Foods on Prospect Avenue. The parking lot is on Maryland Ave, a one-way street. You’ll know you’re going in the right entrance if the ramp goes DOWN as opposed to UP. There’s also a green and white Whole Foods sign above the entryway. Park underground, go right inside and up the escalator or elevator and boom, you’re in. Shopping carts can be taken right down to your vehicle. The lot seems cramped and tight, but even with a really big minivan I’ve never actually had an issue down there at all. Just take your time and watch for people. And did I mention it’s free? No receipt or other requirements to get in or out.nnThere’s a second free parking lot adjacent to this one called “Prospect Parking”. It’s actually the parking entrance just before the Whole Foods one. It’ll also get you into the Whole Foods. Depending on where you park inside, it can be a little longer of a walk into the store, is a little harder to navigate, and not conducive to bringing a shopping cart back and forth.nnThis area of the east side is not the most parking-friendly. Nor are there many areas to park for free at all. These are two of the best and most reliable I’ve found in the many years I’ve lived in Milwaukee. For those with littles or any type of needs they’re great options. Like for those that have the need to not get hit by a bus, car or electric scooter when putting a couple bags of groceries in your vehicle.nnDon’t forget to watch for pedestrians and vehicles and head LEFT, not right when leaving either lot. Maryland Avenue is a one-way street.
