Tillinghast Place

Beach accessible by the public without town passes or payment. Everybody is walking around enjoying the Bay and with their dogs in tow. It's one of the few places that anybody can go to and definitely the closest, nicest public beach for me in Providence

A great beach that you wont have to go all the way down south to enjoy. The sand isn't as fine and the water isn't as perfect but the privacy and the dog frequency is so worth it. There is a beautiful park that you walk though to get to the beach and it is perfect for a picnic with a view.

Always good fun with the dogs. Sometimes there are other dogs on the beach to play with which all the dogs love. People pick up after their dogs and the beach is very clean. The land is not fenced so it may not be a good choice if your dog doesn't have reliable recall. I had to stop bringing one because he kept wondering off.

Gorgeous rolling hills over look a marsh bustling with birds. A trail cuts through the marsh to the beach that has a view to two lighthouses and multiple shorelines. The change of seasons at the wood bounded marsh are breathtaking.
