Walker Farm Kayak Rentals and storage

This was a great kayak experience in Rhode Island. We had to call couple hours before to make sure they had enough kayaks. We went with a group of 10 and the owner reserved kayaks for us and also accommodated dual and single person kayaks.nnWater was very calm but the current slowly pushed us to one side where coming back to the docking side became super hard as we were going against the current.

Feeling like an adventure, I called up to see if they had something that would work for me and my two little kids (ages 3 & 5). They had a 3 person tandem kayak, where there were two full size seats and one small seat in between. That small seat would have been fine for either of my kids but too small for adults. It was ready when we got there, prices were reasonable, and the young men helping were very kind in taking a photo of me and my kids on the water and sending it to me. It was a great little jaunt up along the coast and in the little estuary just up River, and then an easy float back down river to finish. Highly recommended, we'll be back

All the double kayaks they have are different brands which means some have good back support whole you're sitting while others are quite uncomfortable to sit in.nI'm new at kayaking but it's all directly under the sun mostly so be sure to apply good amount of sun block in got weather.nWe paid $30/person so for a double kayak we paid $60 total and our 2 yr old son was allowed on it for free. He sat in between my wife and I , of course everyone wears a life jacket.nOverall a good experience. There were 2 young kids there administering stuff but no visible sign of any life guard or a rescue boat so if something happens while kayaking, you're on your own.

This was our first visit. Price is reasonable for the rental time. The location is great. Staff consisted in teenagers who were not customer oriented or caring; not helpful or assuming people should know what to do. Questions were answered in a rude way.

Nice spot to rent a kayak, nice waterway. Wish the two staff members had been wearing masks though, as the sign posted there said customers were required to.
